John Lawrence, founder and president of Period Restorations began his keen interest in
antique furniture restoration and conservation in the mid-1970's when he was introduced to and apprenticed with a professional
conservator, trained in the English manner and dedicated to the time-honored techniques of European craftmanship for centuries.
After a two-year term of apprenticeship and intense research, Period Restorations was
born and through the last 25 years, has grown and earned the respect of dealers, collectors and owners of family heirlooms
throughout the mid-Hudson valley.
